A candidate, who has been accepted into the program and/or an ASSE Certificate Holder by the Medical Gas Training Institute agrees to conduct himself/herself in an ethical and professional manner. This includes demonstrating practice-related behavior that is indicative of professional integrity. By acceptance into the program and/or issuance of certificate, the candidate or certified person agrees to do the following:
- Maintain professional competence
- Demonstrate work behavior that exemplifies ability to perform safely, competently, and with good judgment
- Conduct activities with honesty and integrity
- Avoid discriminating against any individual based on age, gender, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, or marital status
- Avoid conflicts of interest
- Abide by laws, rules, and regulations of duly authorized agencies regulating the industry
- Abide by rules and regulations governing programs conducted by MGTI
Infraction of the Professional Standards of Conduct
An infraction is misconduct for which acceptance into the program, granting of certification, or renewal of certification may be delayed or denied, or for which acceptance in the program or a certification may be revoked by the Medical Gas Training Institute.
