The ASSE 6010 Medical Gas Systems Installer Certification is available for people with experience in the plumbing/piping fields and are qualified to install medical gas piping, equipment and components at health care facilities. This certification consists of verification of prerequisite work experience and required 32-hour training course, along with written and practical certification exams. Certification / Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to become ASSE 6010 Certified.
- All candidates shall have a minimum of four (4) years of documented practical experience in the field of installation of plumbing or mechanical piping systems.
- All candidates shall have successfully completed the thirty-two (32) hour training course covering all aspects of the ASSE Standard 6010 and ASME IX Brazing Qualification, taught by a 6050 certified instructor.
- All candidates must successfully pass the written examination.
- All candidates must successfully pass the practical (ASME IX Brazing) examination.
