The ASSE 6030 Medical Gas Systems Verifier Certification is for those intending to conduct the testing, inspection and verification of medical gas systems at healthcare facilities. Medical gas verifiers are responsible for testing the purity and integrity of medical gas and vacuum systems and components. Along with general knowledge about medical gas and vacuum systems installation, and testing, this certification covers the code requirements within the scope of NFPA 99, NFPA 55 and other applicable codes, laws and standards. This certification consists of the verification of prerequisite experience and 32-hour training program, as well as written and practical exams. Certification / Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to become ASSE 6030 Certified:
- All candidates shall have a minimum of two (2) years of documented practical experience in the verification of medical gas, vacuum, and pipeline distribution systems.
- All candidates shall have successfully completed the thirty-two (32) hour training course covering all aspects of the ASSE Standard 6030.
- All candidates must successfully pass the written and practical examinations.
