The ASSE 6035 Bulk Medical Gas Systems Verifier Certification is for those intending to conduct the testing, inspection and verification of bulk medical gas systems at healthcare facilities. Bulk medical gas verifiers are responsible for testing the purity and integrity of bulk medical gas systems and components. Along with general knowledge about cryogenic fluid central supply (bulk) systems installation and testing, this certification covers the code requirements within the scope of NFPA 99, NFPA 55, CGA M-1, and other applicable codes, laws and standards. This certification consists of the verification of prerequisite experience and 32-hour* training program, as well as written and practical exams. * For people currently holding the ASSE 6030 Medical Gas Systems Verifier certification the required bulk systems training is only 16 hours.
Certification / Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to become ASSE 6035 Certified:
- All candidates shall have a minimum of two (2) years of documented practical experience in the verification and/or inspection of bulk medical gas systems.
- All candidates shall have successfully completed a minimum 32 hour training course (or 16 for currently ASSE 6030 certified verifiers) covering bulk medical gas systems and all other standards and topics listed in the ASSE 6035 standard.
- All candidates must successfully pass the written and practical examinations.
